The date of the 2011 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations has been officially modified. The event will be held on 18th September 2011 weekend - one week before what it was previously announced - in Saint Jean d'Angely, France.

Racing was more like survival. The start strait had half a foot of water laying over a large part of it. Ruts developed during the night that went down to the ply underlying the dirt and were trapping bikes as they were deeper than the clearance between the wheel base and the pegs. No one was jumping anything by the time the finals were underway.

RJ Says: US MX GP at Glen Helen - my thoughtsI was very impressed with the layout of the entire facility - the pits, the press, the track ... the entire presentation. Everyone from Glen Helen Raceway - Dr. Bud Feldkamp (track owner) to Lori (track manager), their staff including Carl, Steve, Bob did a great job in representing the United States and California in having one of the greatest motocross tracks in America. I sat with Dr. Wolfgang Srb, President of the FIM Motocross Commission, and he was very impressed with the preparation of everything as well, including the track, especially with the fact that the event was put on with 60 days notice. He thought everything was top notch, and is excited to have the event come back next year.
